From: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> As __builtin_return_address(n) doesn't work for ARM with n > 0, the kernel needs its own implementation. This fixes many warnings saying: warning: unsupported argument to '__builtin_return_address' The new methods and walk_stackframe must not be instrumented because CALLER_ADDRESSx is used in the various tracers and tracing the tracer is a bad idea. What's currently missing is an implementation using unwind tables. This is not fatal though, it's just that the tracers don't get enough information to be really useful. Note that if both ARM_UNWIND and FRAME_POINTER are enabled, walk_stackframe uses unwind information. So in this case the same implementation is used as when FRAME_POINTER is disabled. On ARM there is a problem where the interrupt handler stalls when they are coming faster than the kernel can handle. The problem seems to occur on RT primarily, but the problem is also valid for non-RT kernels. The problem is twofold: * the handle_simple_irq() mechanism is used for GPIO, but because the GPIO interrupt source is actually an edge triggered interrupt source, the handle_edge_irq() mechanism must be used. While using the simple_irq() mechanisms edges can be missed for either mainline as RT kernels. The simple_irq mechanism is *never* meant to be used for these types of interrupts. See the thread at: http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/11/26/73 * The RT kernels has a problem that the interrupt get masked forever while the interrupt thread is running and a new interrupt arrives. In the interrupt threads there is masking done in the handle_simple_irq() path, while a simple_irq typically cannot be masked. This patch only solves the first bullet, which is enough for AT91, by moving the GPIO interrupt handler towards the handle_edge_irq(). To solve the problem in the simple_irq() path a seperate fix has to be done, but as it is no longer used by AT91, that fix will not affect AT91. Tested on: * AT91rm9200-ek, and proprietary board * AT91SAM9261-ek. The size of receive buffer pointer was used to get size of receive buffer instead of recvbuf_size itself, so only 4/8 bytes could be transfered. Tag 11 packets are stored in the metadata section of an eCryptfs file to store the key signature(s) used to encrypt the file encryption key. After extracting the packet length field to determine the key signature length, a check is not performed to see if the length would exceed the key signature buffer size that was passed into parse_tag_11_packet(). Thanks to Ramon de Carvalho Valle for finding this bug using fsfuzzer. I've tested TSL2550 driver and I've found a bug: when light is off, returned value from tsl2550_calculate_lux function is -1 when it should be 0 (sensor correctly read that light was off). I think the bug is that a zero c0 value (approximated value of ch0) is misinterpreted as an error.
