The TDR register shouldn't be written when the CSRB flag is set. The fix solves the problem where one SPI transfer includes multiple 8 or 16 bit tx elements and the current transfer can be corrupted by accessing the TDR too early. A read / write cycle is defined by tw0 + tw1. It was wrongly assumed that the 1 cycle long CS active edge to read / write active edge is part of each cycle, thus we ended up with too low tw1 value -> too short cycle time. The dmtimer framework update broke 32 kHz timer as udelay() does not work before system timer is started (and GPT1 should not be reset). This also makes the GP timer use GPT1. SPI mode 0 maps to the case where we have write on rising and read on falling clock edge. Fix the OMAP2 McSPI and OMAP1 uWire edge selection accordingly. In the uWire case the meaning of the HW flag selecting the read edge selection must be flipped for correct operation and this is in contradiction with the OMAP1 specification. Tests were performed on SPI devices using mode 1 (original uWire protocoll) like the ads7846 to validate this. Fix for channel reconfiguration case: once the EPOL, POL or PHA has been configured to 1, further configuration on the channel can't change it to 0. The first CS enable is not needed. I can't see any reason why OMAP_GPIO_SWITCH depends on OMAP_BOOT_TAG; it compiles fine without it. This patch removes the Kconfig dependency. Here's an updated patch that not only removes the dependency but cleans up the Kconfig description to talk about sysfs rather than the input layer. The GPIO IRQ mask was retrieved incorrectly in cases where we have a mask register instead of an enable register. Also we should only return the valid bits depending on the bank size. It looks like metapage_releasepage was making in invalid assumption that the releasepage method would not be called on a dirty page. Instead of issuing a warning and releasing the metapage, it should return 0, indicating that the private data for the page cannot be released. I also realized that metapage_releasepage had the return code all wrong. If it is successful in releasing the private data, it should return 1, otherwise it needs to return 0. Bridge will OOPS on removal if other application has the SAP open. The bridge SAP might be shared with other usages, so need to do reference counting on module removal rather than explicit close/delete. Since packet might arrive after or during removal, need to clear the receive function handle, so LLC only hands it to user (if any).
